From June 19^th to 22^th, the Practical Skills Examination of 2021 National Dental Practitioner (Assistant) Qualification was held at School/Hospital of Stomatology of Lanzhou University. As the only national test base for dental practice skills in Gansu examination area, School/Hospital of Stomatology of Lanzhou University has undertaken this examination for 15 consecutive years. A total of 1,855 candidates had completed the exam in 4 days.

 

According to the requirements of the "The Implementation Plan of Practical Skills Examination for National Practitioner (Assistant) Qualification", the examination consists of six test stations: oral examination, oral operation, first aid technology, cases’ records, case analysis and health education, to comprehensively and objectively examine the candidates' basic clinical skills and professional quality.

 

 

During the examination, the exam organizer tightened up on the epidemic control by creating special channels for epidemic prevention, quarantine areas, and formulated test procedures and related work plans. Moreover, a green channel had been set up for the pregnant and disabled candidates.

 

The examination work is highly valued by the Gansu Provincial Health Commission. On June 20th, Xie Guodong, deputy head of Disciplinary Inspection and Supervision team; Sun Yan, deputy director of the 1st Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Qian Guohong, director of Human Resources Service Center, were dispatched by the Gansu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and supervision on the examination base. Every piece of work was inspected and supervised, and rational suggestions were given. On June 21, Director of Gansu Provincial Health Commission Guo Yufen, vice director Zhang Hao, director of medical administration and management department Wang Gaifeng, director of the talent service center Qian Guohong and others conducted a round of examinations for the examination base. Party Secretary Li Liuhao, Dean Liu Bin, and Vice Dean Li Zhige gave an in-depth introduction of the examination process arrangement, test station setup, article preparation, supervision, examiner scoring and other aspects. The inspection team also visited each test station and highly praised the examination work, and put forward suggestions for the construction of the base.
